Wawa Dam, Montalban, Rizal, Philippines
Just a few minutes from Quezon City is located Rodriguez (formerly Montalban), Rizal, where we can find the Wawa Dam. Its been some months now that I was planning to take some photos of the very lovely Montalban Gorge and Wawa Dam. And finally, found some time last weekend. The Dam was constructed by the American government in 1909 which served as primary water source for the Manila area. But in the 1960s, the La Mesa-Ipo-Angat water systems was established, leading to the decommissioning of Wawa Dam. Here are some photos I took during the weekend.
