Solido Fiat Abarth, Replique Authentique, Re-edition

This is a Solido, re-edition, vintage Fiat Abarth, made in France, an authentic replica, probably 1:43 or 1:45 scale.

Some facts from Wikipedia:
Abarth 595, derived from Fiat 500Abarth is an Italian racing car maker founded
by Austrian-Italian Carlo Abarth and Italian Armando Scagliarini in Turin in
1949.
Carlo Abarth began his well-known association with Fiat in 1952, building the
Abarth 1500 Biposto upon Fiat mechanicals.
In the 1960s, Abarth & C. S.r.l was quite successful in hillclimbing and sports
car racing, mainly in classes from 850cc up to 2000cc, competing with Porsche
904 and Ferrari Dino. Hans Herrmann was a factory driver from 1962 until 1965,
winning the 500km Nürburgring in 1963 with Teddy Pilette
Later, Johann Abt was promised by Carlo Abarth that he could drive a factory car
for free if he won all the races he entered—which Abt nearly did, winning 29 of
30, the 30th being a second.
Along with its racing cars, Abarth produced high-performance exhaust pipes.
Later, Abarth diversified in producing various tuning kits for road vehicles,
mainly for Fiat. Abarth was also associated in producing sports or racing cars
with Porsche and Simca.

Abarth was sold to Fiat on July 31, 1971, and the racing team sold to Enzo
Osella. Abarth became the racing department of Fiat, managed by famed engine
designer Aurelio Lampredi. Some models built by Fiat or its subsidiaries Lancia
and Autobianchi were co-branded Abarth, the most famous being the Autobianchi
A112 Abarth. Abarth also prepared Fiat Group's rally cars like Fiat 124 Abarth
and 131 Abarth. In the 80s Abarth name was mainly used to mark performance Fiats
like Fiat Ritmo Abarth 130 TC. The name was almost forgotten in 1990s and in
2000s it was used like a trim/model level on FIAT cars, like the FIAT Stilo
Abarth.

Autoart Mercedes Benz G Wagon, 1:43 scale

An Autoart Mercedes Benz G Wagon in 1:43 scale. The background is a building ruins from WWII, by Wes Miniatures (probably made of plaster of Paris). I assembled and painted it with watercolor. Although the background and vehicle have a different era, i thought of experimenting with the pairing.

From wikipedia:
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class or G-Wagen, short for Geländewagen (or
cross-country vehicle), is a four-wheel drive vehicle / sport utility vehicle
(SUV) produced by German automaker Mercedes-Benz. Designed to be a durable,
reliable, and rugged off-roader, the G-wagen is characterized by its boxy
styling and body-on-frame construction. It utilizes three fully locking
differentials, one of the few vehicles to have such a feature.
Mercedes-Benz secured military contracts for the vehicle in the late 1970s and
offered a civilian version in 1979. A major reason to start development was the
need of the German Army for a light military vehicle. Without any joint test the
cheaper Volkswagen Iltis were chosen, but since 1990 it is replaced by the
G-Class "Wolf" and LAPV Enok. After a design change to a civilian cross-country
vehicle in co-operation with the Austrian car manufacturer
Steyr-Daimler-Puch, production of the G-Class began in 1979 with the 460
Series models. The G-Class has been sold under the Puch name in certain
markets, and the Peugeot P4 is a variant made under license, with a Peugeot
engine and different parts.
Despite the introduction of an intended replacement, the unibody crossover SUV
Mercedes-Benz GL-Class in 2006, the G-Class is still produced and is expected to
continue in production until 2015.
The G-Wagen was developed by Steyr-Daimler-Puch and first offered for sale in
1979 and redesigned in 1990/1991. A new version was expected for 2007, but the
new GL-Class will not replace the G-Wagen, and it will continue to be hand-built
in Graz, Austria at an annual production of 4,000 to 6,000 units. In February
2009, Magna Steyr, an operating unit of Magna International, announced that it
signed an agreement with Daimler AG to extend the production of the
Mercedes-Benz G-Class at Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria until 2015. Besides the
production, the further development of the G-Class by Mercedes-Benz is also
located in Graz since 1992.

Autoart Mercedes Benz type 600 in 1:43 scale

An Autoart Mercedes Benz type 600 in 1:43 scale.  Looks very elegant and pure in color off white paint.

From Wikipedia:
The Mercedes-Benz 600 is a large luxury automobile. When introduced in
September, 1963, it had very few competitors, these being Rolls-Royce, the
Cadillac Fleetwood 75, the stretched Lehmann-Peterson Lincoln and the Crown
Imperial Ghia. Generally, the long wheel base 600 was intended to be
chauffeur-driven; many of those 600s featured a central divider incorporating a
power window between the front and rear compartments. The short wheel base 600
was designed to be owner driven.
A few of the limousines were made with a convertible top over the rear
passenger compartment and were called landaulets. This was mainly intended for
official use, by the Pope, or by the German government, e.g. in 1965 during
the visit of Queen Elizabeth II, when she was accompanied by Kurt Georg
Kiesinger in open-top tour in Baden-Württemberg. Production of this model
ended a year early, in 1980.
Mercedes made two coupés, one of them as a gift for Dr. Rudolf Uhlenhaut when he
retired. He had designed the car, together with Fritz Nallinger and Karl
Wilfert. A third coupe was constructed from a 600 SWB by Karl Middelhauve and
associates.
Apart from the Pope and governments, famous owners of the 600 include
celebrities such as Coco Chanel, Hugh Hefner, Elizabeth Taylor, John Lennon,
George Harrison, Jay Kay, Aristotle Onassis, Jack Nicholson, Simon Spies, Bob
Jane, Frank Packer, Elvis Presley, Rowan Atkinson, and Jeremy Clarkson,
Communist leaders include Nicolae Ceauşescu, Josip Broz-Tito, Fidel Castro, Pol
Pot, Enver Hoxha, Leonid Brezhnev, Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-Il also owns a
landaulet (both seen in the 65th anniversary parade in Pyongyang on October 10,
2010) and religious leader Guru Maharaj Ji. African revolutionaries Idi Amin
Dada, Jomo Kenyatta and the former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos had
four 600s including a Landaulet, a 1981 bulletproof and a six-door
version.
